With the 5th game in a 2 week period for the Reds, they and the visiting Chicago Fire treated the Toronto faithful to a match that would compete with paint drying for excitement.
The people at the stadium seemed as excited as the players, with the 4th home date over this 5 game stretch. I finally got around to posting the images from the 2009 Hockey Summit Hootenany… but only from the Saturday night.
The Smurf Entry from Ottawa was a great combination of music and theatrics, it was hard to argue the impact they made and they topped it off with a Beer-a-mid at the conclusion of their perfomance.
Meat funked the crowd with with their own hockey inspired, booty-shakin’ grooves.
I am already thinking about the performances next year and promise to also be there to capture the Friday night performances.

On a night when the skies threatened the TFC faithful, the Reds took another 3 points in the NutriLite Canadian Championship.
A 35th minute goal by Chad Barrett was enough for the Toronto faithful to fill BMO field with warm thoughts and keep the singing going for the trek home.
The supporters groups joined forces in the parking lot of Lamport Stadium to march together to BMO field where the UM02 decided to greet the masses with a crayon depictions that seemed to be stolen from Millwall.

Playing for the Nutrilite Canadian Championship on only a few days rest was not as much expected
Harmse scored at the 3 minute mark and that was all team needed to ensure a home victory in the first game of the 3 team tournament.
Coach Chris Cummins put out a first class squad and the Reds wanted to avoid a repeat of last year, when a USL team represented Canada.
1-0 victory over Vancouver was a welcome result and TFC will be looking for another victory on Wednesday May 13 against the Montreal …

The Reds were looking for a victory, which would have provided an advantage in their quest for the Trillium Cup, but this match resulted in the same result as their earlier clash this season.
1-1 draw, with both teams connecting in the second half, Columbus first, with Barrett responding for the Toronto squad.
The game was the first for Chris Cummings behind the bench as Head Coach for Toronto and ensure Toronto was not shut out of any points at home.
